Letting Go

Of what?  Your childhood, your past relationships, a death of a loved one, liquor, drugs or food?  Or just someone or something that can no longer flourish in your life.  It's okay that these experience are a part of you, because they may have formed the person you are today.  With that said,  you may want to embrace this part of you and then release it out to the universe.  Then move on.... I know easier said then done, but worth trying and succeeding.
I recently read and article and want to share a part of it with you.  I will share it one step of it at a time just to let it soak in and give each step the time it may take to help us get over whatever we are dealing with.

Keep Calm and enjoy!

Letting go can be difficult. Letting go of people, ideas, expectations, desires; letting go of bad habits, false beliefs and unhealthy relationships... the list goes on. Every day, every moment presents an opportunity to create ourselves anew, to shrug off the baggage of the past, open ourselves up to the possibility of the moment and take action to create an incredible future.

Although we can understand this intellectually, knowing it and living it are two very different things.

Here is my Top Ten Action list for letting go to get going:

1. Meditate. Find stillness, breathe. Meditation is action. Our mind is much harder to still than our body. Our lives are busy and fast paced, filled with external noise and distractions. Clarity comes from quiet.  Meditation, even in small amounts, will make room for the next 9 steps.

4 Foods that Flush Away Trapped Fat

1. Turmeric - it's a super cleaner and it helps detox your liver.  This spice is found in many Indian Foods.  I personally have never tried this spice.
2. Cruciferous Veggies - Broccoli, Cauliflower, Spinach, Cabbage.  I love these veggies.
3. Lemon Juice - from a whole organic lemon.  Drink it in your water.  Lemon juice naturally cleanse out fat cells.
4. Tart Cherries - Will naturally reduce inflammation in your body.
Pretty neat natural items to try out.

Sit Ups

Today I am going to do sit ups......time to tone this 52 year old body. Well, I also worked my arms today too. Ha Ha !
But anyway, my goal was to do at least 50 sets of sit ups today and I accomplished that goal.

It sounds simple enough, but it's some thing I haven't done in a long time. Yup, that's it for now.

I am back for a tune up.

I know, I ended this blog a while back but I didn't close it. and I am happy about, that because I need to refresh my  mind, body and soul.
The holidays have been brutal, to say the least..  I never ate so many cookies and sweets in my life.

Because of this, I feel bloated and sluggish, not to mention I have gained weight.

This past summer I had a breast reduction. For most women, it's a  quick recovery, but my body decided to give me trouble.   Okay, so with all this going on, I returned to my favorite comfort food, "sweets" and I am now paying for it now.
So it's tune up time.  Me and the hubby are going to EAT CLEAN, or as clean as possible.
So I am back. with a refresh attitude.
